I work as a freelance multimedia science and medical public engagement and communications specialist.

Among my formal engagements, I work as a Clinical Editor and Multimedia Producer at BMJ Learning. At Imperial College I tutor on special programmes designed to boost team working and personal development through multimedia science engagement projects. I also produce the podcast for Festival of the Spoken Nerd.

I work hard to promote the idea that science communication, or indeed any kind of communication, is not about specialists preaching to the masses, but instead is about encouraging as many people as possible to participate in social media production, and breaking down barriers to improve accessibility to everyone. I am an expert at producing the best quality media on the smallest of budgets, and maintain that you can produce a good quality podcast for free.
